What are you going to do?
- Your main focus is working within the R&D Analytical Team, developing and updating periodically all the analytical procedures, ensuring that procedures, activities and products are compliant with the highest standards in quality, health and safety and sustainability standards.
- This means that you will proactively cooperate with the team on scouting references on leading scientific literature to develop and constantly upgrade analytical methods and standards, ensuring right handover with internal stakeholders (e.g. quality control department) and keeping track and reports on analytical data and their interpretations.
- You will be also responsible for maintaining and improving analytical status on both current as well as new equipment, by leading maintenance activities and proposing new investments, when required.
- As a key team member of R&D projects, you’ll be proactively supporting technical milestones on investigation for new molecules, subproducts or impurities, certification and validation of critical parameters of NPD, by defining new internal specifications and cascading with quality control and operations team, providing analytical data targeted on related documents for regulatory department.

Who are we?
We are an important player in the UV technology market and specialized in producing raw materials for adhesives, lacquers and paints that harden using UV. Our head office is in The Netherlands, but we have more locations all over the world where we work every day on the success of our organization with a very international and customer driven approach.
We have grown rapidly in recent years and now we employ more than 700 employees worldwide: 110 belong to IGM Italy, mostly based in our production plant in Mortara (PV), some in our research lab in Gerenzano (VA).
This position will be based in Italy (Gerenzano) with a direct reporting line to the EMEA R&D Research and Analytical Manager.
Who are you?
- You’re a chemist, a passionate researcher with high curiosity, willingness to take ownership on activities and projects and to grow as team member and as a leader: you are flexible, enjoy working in a lab and you’re ok liaising and interacting with internal as well as external team members, managers and project managers.
- You can do this both in Italian and in English, given our international environment.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in laboratories working with small molecules, fine chemical, pharma.
- You have excellent knowledge on chromatographic techniques (i.e. HPLC-UV, HPLC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS) and NMR.
- You’re a good listener and you’re not afraid of change; your approach is client oriented, with strong ability to passionately cooperate with internal or external customers; hands on different projects at the same time, you’re keen on planning activities, respecting deadlines and getting results.
